Teppanyaki dinner

Impressive dinner tonight – will be Mark’s new BBQ party piece next summer.

Dinner was cooked by a one-man show at our table – steaming onion volcano, fancy knife turning and chopping and all. Delicious and filling.

Not often that I know much about food. But Tepanyaki is a favourite for me, so I will appreciate an invitation when you two are turning this on.

There is also sometimes pepper grinder juggling, friendly egg compeititions where the egg is chopped on the slab with the small piece flying through the air to enter the guests mouth (or eye, or on the floor), lemons being tossed in the air to end up impaled on the end of the knife, and of course the flaming bit.

Good to hear your news and that you enjoyed this bit of so called Japanese food that seems to have developed in Hawaii, and then spread through the world, but only very slightly back into Japan.
