Relaxing in Adelaide

7.9.18 A little outing to St Kilda Mangrove Wetland. Short drive out and over the top security to access a boardwalk through the mangroves. Enjoyed fish and chips prior to our walk. Unfortunately the tide was out and part of the walk was closed however an interesting little meander. Wetlands are adjacent to a salt lake bed.

Drove on up to Gawler, the oldest county town in Australia, and checked out some  of Ellen’s family history.

Ellen’s grandfather and great grandfather lived on Thirteenth  Street. Found the house- very cute and recently renovated and sold. Also saw another snake curled up on the next door neighbour’s fence. Gawler us a very old town so some beautiful stone homes and buildings, tree lined streets and park areas.  Iced coffees in town before driving back.

Dinner in Henley by the beach, lovely sunset. Crazy number of people out and about on a beautiful evening and the first day of daylight saving. Queues down the street at many ice cream stores and the bars.

8.10.18 A catchup day! See photo uploads for Darwin. Lunch down at Henley (left) today. Lots of beach nearby  along this coast and cafes to check out.

A nice walk late afternoon down to Semaphore along the foreshore. Bit chilly today and quite a change from being up north!

Enjoyed an extended Ramsey family dinner tonight.
